The second game that I played was Monopoly. I want to have a upgrade system for lands in my game, but the Civilization’s land upgrade was too complicated for a table game as it will take a lot of work and time to calculate and keep track for us in real time, so we want something that is simpler than that. This is where Monopoly came in. The land upgrade in monopoly is one of the inspirations for my own game, as I plan to have a similar upgrade system in my game. The difference is the upgrade requirements, as my game will have a different set up than Monopoly. What’s more, it always takes forever to play Monopoly and never have I ever finished a whole game of Monopoly in my life yet. Monopoly was also what inspired my design for resources cards.
