The European board game was denied entry to the U.S. market until 1995 when Klaus Tenber invented Catan, the first European board game to enter the U.S. market and be sold in toys “r” us. Before that, it was sold to other countries and has been translated into more than 30 languages. Derk Solko, an American who founded BBG in 2000, wanted to push Catan down. BBG is the first board money information website, resulting in its unshakable status, which is the bible of the board game industry; its board game ranking is recognized.
