Hello, class. Today I thought I’d take a quick little break from talking about my project, and share with you something that I have observed recently in the game world. Now, as I’m sure you’re all aware: everyone and their mother is playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Maybe you’re playing it too, or maybe you’re like me and you don’t have a Switch. Anyway, this huge wave of new Animal Crossing players is great and all, except for the fact that I cannot play it and I have been an Animal Crossing fan for years. What I can play, however, is Animal Crossing: New Leaf on my 3DS XL (sorry for the flex). This game was revolutionary for the Animal Crossing world, as it allowed players to be in charge of their own town as mayor, and start projects to make the town what they want. There are some aspects of the game, however, that are NOT satisfactory, but have been fixed in New Horizons (which is why I’m so jealous). The biggest complaint I have is that villagers can move in at anytime and COMPLETELY RUIN my layout of the town. Oh, you just planted a beautiful flower garden? NO PROBLEM, LET ME JUST LET THE CAT WITH UNDERWEAR ON HIS HEAD BUILD HIS HOUSE RIGHT ON TOP OF IT!!! Anyway, I think I’m also just mad because I’ve unlocked everything already, and there’s not much left to do besides pay off my loan (you know how it be…) and talk to my favorite villager 10 times a day so that she won’t move out when I forget to play for 6 months.
Speaking of that, building relationships with the villagers is probably the best part of the game. I get like 3 letters a week from my favorite villager where she just updates me on the cool things she’s done recently. the WORST part of the game is when you get a letter from your favorite villager, but it’s just them telling you that they’ve moved out and will never see you again. Those are the worst days.
Anyway, I guess this was just my way of telling you all that I’m an OG Animal Crossing fan. Check out this outfit I made for my villager:
After I designed this INCREDIBLE dress, I went to the shoe store and bought some matching kicks. No hate please. That is all I have to update you on until I expand my house, then maybe I’ll give you all a house tour just for fun:)
